By-election set after Guyon resigns

A news release issued by the County last Friday afternoon said Guyon had submitted his resignation effective immediately citing health reasons. That came on the heels of a pair of closed door council meetings. The first of those was held July 21.

New clinic officially opens

Last Monday, the new Drayton Valley Medical Clinic held its grand opening, welcoming two new doctors and staff to the facility.

EPAC expansion fundraising in the works

With Phase II of the development of the Eleanor Pickup Arts Centre underway, the board’s fundraising committee is seeking permission from the Town and County to have a sponsor for the naming rights of the building.

Museum a place to visit this summer

Rodeo weekend “sensational”

Organizers for the Drayton Valley Pro Rodeo are happy to say this year was a success. Gus Pietsch says tickets were sold out for Saturday, with both Friday and Sunday also close to capacity.
