“We are wanting to do a (Name the size) page advertisement, possibly for next week… is that possible?”
Yes! It is possible. We have 12 different ad sizes to choose from. You can choose black or white. Ads need to be booked no later than Monday at 12:00 PM in the week they will be published.
“Can I do a custom-sized ad?”
Yes, we do custom dimensions as well. We charge for those at a line rate.
“Can you send me pricing and size options?”
Yes, we can definitely do that. If you have content—such as a poster, write-up, or vision—we can use that to provide the most accurate sizing possible. If you don’t, we will put together an informal email with 2–3 sizes and different price options for you to review. If none of those fit your vision or budget, we can always come back with different options.
“What are the dimensions for the artwork?”
We have an in-house graphic designer who does fantastic work. However, if you want to design your own ad, we can provide you with the dimensions for the ad size you book. You can also create your own poster, and we will resize the ad to fit our dimensions, or we can recreate the poster in an ad format that makes all the important information stand out.
“Can I run it for 2 weeks or more?”
Yes, you can book your ad for as long as you want. In fact, if you have multiple bookings, there are volume discounts available.

If you are a charity or a non-profit, we offer a 15% discount. If your organization is a member in good standing with the Drayton Valley and District Chamber of Commerce, we offer a 10% discount. Some conditions apply.
“What day does the paper come out?”
The Drayton Valley and District Free Press is published on Thursdays. However, advertisements need to be approved by Wednesday at 10:00 AM, if not earlier.
“How do I pay?”
That’s simple! We email you an invoice. You can pay directly from the invoice with a credit card, or you can pay with cash or cheque.
