The recent dry spell in the area is causing problems for farmers who are dependent upon the weather for their wellbeing. Randy Robb, a farmer of 50 years in the Berrymoor area, says the crops are suffering due to the lack of moisture and the heat. He says his crops are yielding about a third of what they normally would.

With the year and a half long lockdown finally ending, the Drayton Valley Max centre has something special planned for August to get people back in a social setting.

Drayton Valley hospital will be receiving a revamp in the coming months. On July 21 Alberta Minister of Health, Tyler Shandro was at the hospital for a special announcement. 

Bees and wasps are out in full swing and many people may be discovering hives in their sheds, homes or on their property. When bees and wasps are in their natural habitat they serve an important role in our ecosystem through pollination but when they get into homes they can become a danger to people and pets.
